Established in 2008, Independent Property Lawyers Ltd offers affordable, professional residential conveyancing to individuals.
We know that buying and selling a house can be extremely stressful and will probably be the biggest purchase that you will ever make. Our conveyancing team has over 150 years’ experience in the local conveyancing market and aims to make the process as painless as possible.
We offer a unique service using the conveyancing software system ‘Track a Matter’, which means that you will be able to log on at any time and view what stage your transaction has reached.
We recognise the importance of delivering our services in a variety of ways and understand that sometimes the reassurance of a human voice is needed and our team will always be willing to answer any questions you may have.
Gordon D Drawbridge
Gordon qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in early 2008 and helped form Independent Property Lawyers later that year. Gordon is now Head of Conveyancing and oversees all of our conveyancing work. Gordon specialises in Freehold Sale and Purchase transactions but has broad experience and knowledge in all aspects of Residential Conveyancing.
Outside of the office Gordon enjoys playing sport and spending time with his wife and two young daughters.
Gordon E Drawbridge
Gordon is a Licensed Conveyancer with over 45 years Residential Conveyancing experience. Gordon set up Independent Property Lawyers in 2008.
Outside of the office Gordon enjoys watching football and sea fishing.
Sara Ball
Sara has 15 years’ experience working in residential conveyancing and joined Independent Property Lawyers in May 2017 after having previously worked at another local firm assisting fee earners in the residential conveyancing department. Sara qualified as a Licenced Conveyancer in December 2021.
Outside of the office Sara enjoys time spent with family and friends and is a member of a local running club, having completed her first Marathon in April 2022.
Zoe Harding
Zoe qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2009, having worked within the conveyancing industry since 2002. Zoe gained valuable experience working for a large local firm of Solicitors dealing with residential conveyancing, where she specialised in transfers of equity, shared ownership and declarations of trust. Zoe joined the team at Independent Property Lawyers in June 2021 and now deals with freehold sales and purchases.
Outside of the office Zoe is kept active by her two young daughters, and can often be found on the water paddle boarding and trying to stay dry!
Kim Scott
Kim has been working as a Legal Secretary in residential conveyancing for over 15 years. She worked previously for Martin Tolhurst Solicitors before joining the team at Independent Property Lawyers in 2014.
Kim enjoys reading, going to the cinema, seeing shows in London and is a big ABBA fan and has been to see ABBA Voyage. She also likes spending time with her nephews and grandchildren.
Jenny Curtis
Jenny has worked as a Legal Secretary since leaving school and has over 30 years’ experience. She joined Independent Property Lawyers in May 2021.
She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, early morning runs to try and keep fit and loves a game of scrabble with friends.
Angela Godden
Angela has worked in the legal profession as a Legal Secretary for over 30 years. During her career she has worked in all aspects of conveyancing whilst at Hallett & Co., Kingsfords, Robson & Co and Martin Tolhurst. She joined Independent Property Lawyers in June 2021.
Angela enjoys singing in Ashford Sings Choir and is a volunteer with League of Friends at William Harvey Hospital.
